Frequently asked
What are the 2026–27 tax rates?
Residents: nil to $18,200; 15% to $45,000 (cut from 16% on 1 July 2026); 30% to $135,000; 37% to $190,000; 45% above. Plus the 2% Medicare levy (reduced below $35,013).
How are HELP repayments calculated?
From 2026–27 repayments are marginal: 15% of income above $69,528, then 17% of income above $129,717, capped at 10% of total income from $186,051. They are withheld by your employer if you have ticked the HELP box on your TFN declaration.
Is super included in the salary?
Super guarantee (12%) is paid by the employer on top of your salary unless your offer says 'package including super'. The calculator shows it separately; use the salary-sacrifice field for extra contributions from your pay.
